Nourishment you need, support you deserve.
The pregnancy and postpartum experience is one of the greatest transitions we can go through as humans, and it’s also one of the hardest. During this time, you deserve whole nourishment and loving support from those who want the very best for you. I’d love to be part of your community of care.
Hi there! I’m Sarah.
Postpartum-centric doula, reproductive educator, perinatal yoga teacher, community activist, Taurus through and through and mama to two spirited girls.
During my own first pregnancy and birth, I realized a harsh truth about the Western world: we have learned to neglect our birthing people and rush the postpartum process to an unhealthy degree. I felt lost and isolated. I entered parenthood feeling traumatized and alone, forced to navigate the myriad challenges it brings without adequate support.
Throughout my motherhood journey, however, I learned the value of informed, intuitive reproductive care and learned how to seek out community. I turned inwards–to my intuition and instinct, leaned on my connection to the natural world, while building the community I never knew I needed so badly.
Access to nature, nourishing food, rest and community–these all aided in my healing and informed my lifelong work.
When I set out to become a doula and founded Nourish with Purpose, I did so with the hope of providing real, down-to-earth support for pregnant and postpartum people in my community.
While I know I can’t (and shouldn’t) be your sole source of comfort, I aim to supplement the care you receive from your partner, healthcare providers, and existing community.
As a yoga teacher of more than 12 years, my goal is to offer classes that help you build community and educate and empower you through pregnancy and postpartum.
Through years of hands-on experience, continued education, and quiet reflection, I’ve crafted a yoga, education and doula practice that nurtures the mind, body, and soul during pregnancy and beyond.

Providing the postpartum care you deserve.
In the US, we’ve come to neglect postpartum people to an alarming degree. While other cultures allow postpartum people time to recover from birth, bond with their babies, adjust to a new phase in their lives, or even grieve from infant loss, our society has been conditioned to undervalue this time and overvalue productivity.
Through Nourish with Purpose, I aim to combat this way of thinking and provide pregnant and postpartum people a piece of the care they truly deserve. Pregnancy changes everything–your body, your heart, even your brain–and you deserve to be cocooned in love, support, and nourishment as you adjust.
