Doula
[dou.la | doo-luh]
(n.) a person who provides physical and emotional support, presence and educational information to individuals and families during significant reproductive thresholds of life.
The experiences of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are unique, and they each require different types of care. Let’s work together to find the container that best meets your needs.
Pregnancy Care
Beginning as early as you find out you’re pregnant, this container includes complete support throughout your entire pregnancy. Whether we’re meeting in-person or virtually, you’ll receive…
-
… as you navigate the current and upcoming changes to your life. We’ll create your birth plan, address your concerns around birth and postpartum life, and coach your existing support system on how to best nurture you before, during, and after birth.
-
… like gentle touch, prenatal yoga, and practicing birth positions. We’ll use this time to ease any discomfort you’re feeling during pregnancy and prepare your body for childbirth.
-
… specific to you and your body. Pregnant bodies have specific nutritional needs, and I’m here to help you make sure those are met. I will help prepare nutrient-rich meals, snacks, and teas that you can enjoy while we address your other needs.
-
… via text and phone calls. Whether you have a quick question, want to vent, or just need some encouragement, I’ll be available to guide and support you.
Every pregnancy is different, and your needs will change as your body does. Let’s work together to design the care plan that makes you feel most supported, heard, and loved.
Postpartum Care
Postpartum is any time after pregnancy, including birth, miscarriage, abortion or loss. The Postpartum experience is complex, and it requires a specific kind of care as your body recovers from pregnancy and your heart adjusts to this new phase of life. Whether we’re meeting in-person or virtually, you’ll receive…
-
… as you enter this new phase of your life. We’ll address any emotions that linger following your pregnancy or birth, your day-to-day feelings, and any concerns you have about postpartum life or parenting and partnering. Whether you need to laugh, cry, or just vent, I’m here for you.
-
… as your body heals from pregnancy, birth or loss. We’ll practice gentle, loving touch and nurture your body through contact with nature, healing baths, and small rituals.
-
… in the weeks and months following birth. I’ll give you space to rest, recover, and relax while I wear and care for baby in your home. Whether I tuck you in for a nap or run a bath for you, I’ll be there to take the pressure off.
-
… in the form of nutrient-rich meals, snacks, and teas crafted specifically to heal postpartum bodies. If we’re working together in-person, I’ll prepare these in your home. If we’re working together virtually, I’ll share recipes and meal ideas that fit your specific needs and tastes.
-
… via text, phone calls, and video calls. Postpartum doesn’t end when you go back to work or leave your 6 week checkup.
postpartum lasts the rest of your life. I’m here to support you in the capacity and time period that feels mutually aligned.
Full-Spectrum Care
Want support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum transition? I love being there for the entire process, and I occasionally make space in my calendar to do so. If we work together for full-spectrum care, you’ll receive…
-
… as you experience changes in your body and prepare for birth. We’ll create your birth plan, practice gentle movement, and nourish your body and heart with nutrient-rich foods that support both your health and baby’s.
-
… no matter the kind of birth you’re preparing for or the level of involvement you’d like me to have. I’ve attended all kinds of births–from home births to cesarean births–and am more than happy to work with you and your partner to determine a level of care that feels comfortable for you.
-
… to heal your body, nurture your heart, and support you through this transition. I’ll be there for you in person or virtually, and I’ll never be more than a text away whenever you need to talk through your concerns or simply be heard.

Additional Offerings
I’m passionate about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care in all its forms. In addition to one-on-one offerings, I’m also available for…
-
Not everyone needs ongoing doula support. Sometimes, you just need someone to talk to. If you want to chat about your concerns, create your birth plan, or simply be heard, I’m happy to offer individual consultations for yoga or education, both virtually and in-person, in a one hour session. I’d love to serve as a source of love and support through your pregnancy or postpartum healing process.
-
One way I integrate healing into my work is through plant allies. When you work with me, I craft tea and bath blends specifically for your care using mostly local herbs and botanicals.

How it works
-
We’ll get to know each other and talk about where you’re at and what your unique needs may be. Whether you’re currently pregnant, already postpartum or simply thinking through reproductive options, there’s no wrong time to seek support.
-
Are you seeking support during pregnancy, postpartum, or the entire experience? We’ll work together to decide which type of care is best for you - whether that’s remote or in-person care, a private consultation, or a doula package.
-
Over the next few months, we’ll work side-by-side to prepare for birth, ease the discomforts of pregnancy, heal your postpartum body, and embrace this great transition.
Once we discover which kind of support is best for you, we’ll work together over time to prepare your body and heart for birth, ease the discomforts of pregnancy, or heal your postpartum body - all in conjunction with your healthcare providers and existing support system.
Available Online & In-Person
Much of my support happens virtually via video calls, phone calls, and text. I’m also available to serve the North Country area in person. We can meet at your home or in a quiet, public place - whatever feels best to you.
